About a few weeks ago, we had a great talent join us here at Gigapay. She’s a superhero when it comes to sales, and she isn’t shy to claim it as a hobby. Like it’s our culture, we wanted to know her better. To know what makes her spark!
She’s no other than Vesna Skrchevska. Fact is, businesses like yours need professionals like Vesna to boost sales and help you grow and scale your business. Without someone like her, your business will have a hard time pulling through.
She was super excited to indulge us in this fun interview, and I had the opportunity to ask her my favorite questions. We hope you enjoy the conversation :)
1. Hi Vesna, can you tell us a bit about your background?
Hi Henry. If you must know, I come from Macedonia, and I graduated from the faculty of English language and literature in Bulgaria in 2009. Although I worked as an English teacher and translator for 11 years, I became the Manager of the Private school I used to work in (Megasoft Infocentar), and being ambitious; I decided to go on and pursue a career where I could develop myself and show my full potential.
I started working as an Insurance Specialist in a US outsourcing company (Taskforce BPO) with offices in Macedonia. After a year, I was leading a team of 15 people. In the meantime, I started working in the Sales department of an Austrian Insurance Broker company (VWP Fund Management).
My responsibility was selling life insurance and giving financial advice to companies and individuals on what is the best to do with their money, which of the products that we had in the company would be the best place for their investments etc.
A job that I fell in love with immediately and decided to continue growing in that area. Since my husband got a job in Stockholm and we moved to Sweden, I continued working this as a part-time job online.
2. How did you get to this position?
I was looking for a job in Stockholm and was applying for positions in the Sales department, and I found an advert about a Sales Executive in Gigapay on LinkedIn, which I applied for. I had a few interviews with Andrea and then with Raiha, Gustav, and I got the job :)
3. What do you often like to do for fun?
I like reading books about self-development, motivation, and sales. I like running and working out and having coffee with friends. I also love meeting new people, visiting new places, and traveling.
4. What's your typical day like as a sales executive?
I am looking for leads (fashion, beauty, cosmetics brands, marketing agencies) that collaborate with influencers, gigers, and editors. Then I research whether they are ICP for Gigapay. When I decide that they are, I am looking for a contact of the CFO or CEO or somebody in the finance department who is responsible for the payment of invoices.
I contact them and try to schedule a meeting where I am presenting a demo of how Gigapay can help with their payment process.
I also do presentations as part of my job and track the companies I communicate with.
5. Do you consider yourself a dog or cat person?
I love animals, and they love me back. However, I am more of a dog person than a cat :)
6. How's your experience working with the team at Gigapay?
I love working with each of my colleagues. I enjoy the company's work atmosphere and feel comfortable around them. Even though I have been in the company for only three weeks, it is already a great experience, and I am grateful I met each of them.
