Creators In Focus: Nino & Julia

People think that being a creator is easy, but Nino & Julia, our next guests tell us how hard it is to do everything by their own.

Our next guests started dancing together, participated in Sweden's got talent and their social media exploded! Now, as a couple, we speak with Nino & Julia to find out the secrets of going viral and who their favourite brands to work with are:

1. How did you guys meet? Are you together or just friends?

We have known each other for a long time as the dance world is not that big, but you can say that we got to know each other in 2017 when Nino needed a dancer for a gig and he asked Julia. We clicked immediately and quickly became a couple after that.

2. How and why did you decide to create your account? How many followers do you have on each platform?

We participated in Sweden's got talent 2019 and quickly noticed that people liked what we did and our dance. So we quickly got our joint SoMe channels after that. Started with Youtube and then TikTok. IG came later. Today we have on our joint cannels:

1.3M on TikTok

143K on IG

53K on Instagram

28K on Snapchat

3. What made you grow so much? Was is a particular video or was it more like a constant growth thing without too many peaks?

I would say that we have really worked hard and learned a lot along the way as we’ve produced content daily for 3 years. Consistency has been the key for us. We have challenged ourselves in our creation and content and got to know our audience. We've also had a lot of viral clips that have definitely gotten a lot of view peaks and followers

4. What is your most watched video and why do you think it became so popular?

Our most watched video right now is a video we did two weeks ago. It has over 13,4M views and still growing. We think the video went viral because we do what we love in the video and seem to have fun doing it, and it really shows in the video. And then that it grabs the viewer's attention right away with a strong hook/challenge and effective editing to keep it interesting. Also the nice colours in the video, the quality and that you get a feeling for us and who we are.

5. What have been your favourite brands to work with and why (on a paid basis, gifts don't count)

Hmm this is soo hard to answer. There are so many. But JD Sports and Warner Music are two companies that cross my mind. They have allowed us to do what we love and seen our potential.

6. What advice would you give other creators in your niche?

1. Consistency is the key.

2. Be creative. Put your own twist on it. Create an ID in your content.

3. Don't forget to have fun!.

4. Just go for it. Learning by doing. Don't wait for the right time. Just go.

5. Write down content ideas, make a recording schedule and learn how to edit.

6. If you take someones idea - don't forget to credit.

I have so many more tips but I will stop there ;)

7. What would be your top 5 brands to work with and why do you really want to work with them? What value do you think you would bring to their business?

Hmm we haven't really set up any dream collaborations. We want to work with brands that want to work with us and like what we do, and brands we can stand behind that we use ourselves in our day to day.
Just to name a few brands we'd love to work with, I would say Nike, ICIW and Beats by Dre because these are some awesome brands we use daily in our everyday life and work. I think we could make some really dope content together with them. It really fits with our lifestyle and niche. Perfect match and I think we could have showcased their products in a really nice and natural way.

8. What is your biggest headache when it comes to your jobs as content creators? Something you believe is the hardest part of the content creation job.

Our biggest challenge is that we have so many different platforms to make content for, and we do everything ourselves. Planning/research, choreographing, filming, editing, posting etc etc. There is not enough time to do everything we want.

9. What is the best part of being content creators?

That we get to do what we love every day (dance) and challenge ourselves within our passion. And of course all the experiences and fantastic people we get the opportunity to work with.

10. Apart from Gigapay :P, what other creator communities do you like?

Splay One.

11. Anything else you want to add?

Hard work always pays off.

Thank you

Take care
