With the help of a front-end developer, you optimize your users' experience, resulting in a friendly and welcoming web experience. Not too long ago, we had one join our team, Giang Ngo, and it's been an excellent experience.
We wanted to get to know Giang a little better, so we interviewed her to tell you more about her role at Gigapay :)
Hi Giang, can you tell us a bit about your background?
I have five years of experience in business and project management working for companies in Japan. My previous position was in a big IT corporation which opened the door to the IT world. All these led to where I am today - a front-end developer at Gigapay.
How did you get to this position?
A friend recommended Gigapay as a friendly and pleasant environment. So I was like, why not? I applied via LinkedIn, interviewed, and got it :)
As a front-end developer, what are your primary responsibilities?
My job is to deliver the best UI/UX to users while ensuring functionality works flawlessly. In other words, I'm building bridges from API to end-users.
What is a typical day (or week) like for you?
A perfect week would be balancing the issues I want to solve and what I need to solve. Besides that, a typical developer day starts with coding; a lunch walk/cycling meeting keeps me awake after lunch while trying to help and get helped around :)
Are you a dog person or a cat person? :)
I don't know. My family was always raising both in my childhood.
What are your hobbies?
Cycling, karaoke, Japanese dramas :)
What do you like most about working at Gigapay?
I'd say flexibility, can-do attitude, amazing people, challenges, and freedom to challenge. It's been a great experience working at Gigapay :)
