Welcome to our latest interview, where we have the opportunity to get to know one of our newest team members, Navid Asgharzadeh. Navid is a frontend developer with a background in petroleum engineering and a passion for music production.
In this interview, we will learn more about Navid's journey to Gigapay, his typical day as a frontend developer, and his experience working with the team so far. We hope you enjoy getting to know Navid as much as we have!
1. Hi Navid, can you tell us a bit about your background?
Sure, I am originally from Iran, moved to Sweden in 2019. I have a bachelor's degree in Petroleum engineering and used to work in that field before moving to Sweden. I am a full stack developer who loves to build web and mobile applications.
2. How did you get to this position?
Gustav sent me a message on Linkedin and asked me to chat with him, He introduced the company to me and I really liked what Gigapay is doing. I knew Gigapay since, at my previous job, we were using it to make payouts. So we met each other at the office and in the end, I joined Gigapay as a frontend developer.
3. What do you often like to do for fun?
If I am not coding, I usually produce music. I've been doing this for fun since I was 16. You can find some of my songs on Spotify.
4. What's your typical day like as a frontend developer
As a frontend developer, my typical day would involve working on the design and implementation of websites and web applications. Some of my main responsibilities include writing and testing code, collaborating with other developers to integrate the frontend code with the server side of an application, debugging and fixing issues that arise, participating in code reviews to maintain high quality standards, and staying up to date with the latest developments in web technologies and best practices. It's important for me to have a strong foundation in these areas in order to produce efficient and effective code for our projects
5. Do you consider yourself a dog or cat person?
A dog person :)
6. How's your experience working with the team at Gigapay?
It's been just one month at Gigapay for me and so far I enjoyed every day of it. I mostly work with the product team and I can say that they are super friendly and helpful. It just feels great to work with experienced developers who really know what they are doing.
They made it very simple for me to onboard and got to know the product better in a concise period of time. I am so excited about the future projects that we have planned for 2023.
